It would've been nice if Phase One and Nikon would have cooperated to support the Z6 II and Z7 II right from their product launches, e.g. What you don't want is what Hasselblad does (or did) was basically sending straight DNG's to lightroom with no profile or guide on how to deal with large Medium Format files which results in flat, grey looking files with low definition.Ĭapture One perfected this process with their own Phase One systems and that led to them doing it down market for most popular modern cameras and is why there are specific C1 versions for those brands. The process can be quick or a few months depending on whats new with the system, when it is first available on the market and how big of a demand there is. Traditionally, Phase One purchases new cameras at the same time like anyone else and then sends it to their R&D in Denmark where they craft each camera's specific profile so that it plays well with C1's processing engine.
